Imagine is an interactive art project inspired by John Lennon’s pacifist message, which unites music and art on the same canvas.
The drawing is created through graphic arts that utilize lines, called soundwaves, modeled from musical audio input.
The artwork is visible in two formats: the static version on canvas and the animated version on multimedia video.
The interactive art in this project is a form of dynamic art that uses digital visual techniques to make the sign interact with the sound.
Imagine è un progetto artistico interattivo ispirato dal messaggio pacifista di John Lennon e che unisce musica e arte nella stessa tela.
Il disegno è realizzato attraverso arti grafiche che impiegano l’utilizzo di linee, dette ‘soundwaves’, modellate dall’input audio musicale. L’opera è visibile in due supporti: la versione statica su tela e la versione animata su video multimediale.
L’arte interattiva in questo progetto è una forma d’arte dinamica che utilizza tecniche visive digitali per far interagire il segno con il suono.

THE SOUND
The music of Gemina is a radical sonic reinvention of John Lennon’s masterpiece. Based on the notes of the melody of Imagine, Lucaburo built a new track.
The goal was to let the music be completely reborn, making the melody, harmony, and rhythm of Imagine intentionally unrecognizable but essential for the creation of Gemina. The resulting audio is an abstract reflection of Lennon’s legacy, aiming to engage in a subtle yet profound dialogue with the exhibited images, transforming the act of listening into a visual and conceptual experience.
La musica di Gemina è una reinvenzione sonora radicale del capolavoro di John Lennon. Partendo dalle note della melodia di Imagine, Lucaburo ha costruito un nuovo brano. La sfida è stata quella di permettere alla musica di rinascere completamente, rendendo la melodia, l’armonia e il ritmo di Imagine intenzionalmente irriconoscibili, ma essenziali per la nascita di Gemina.
L’audio realizzato è un riflesso astratto dell’eredità di Lennon, che mira a dialogare in modo sottile ma profondo con le immagini esposte, trasformando l’ascolto in un’esperienza visiva e concettuale.

Imagine has the word image in it, like a picture. It’s a kind of visual representation of a thought or an idea. The project encourage the audience to imagine a world of peace, without religions, divisions, borders, materialism and violence. As we are all dreamers, let’s remember that even the greatest dreams, driven by dedication and willpower, can turn into reality.
Immagina contiene nel suo significato la parola immagine, come una fotografia. È una sorta di rappresentazione visiva di un pensiero e un’idea. Il progetto incoraggia il pubblico a immaginare un mondo di pace, senza religioni, divisioni, confini, materialismo e violenza. Poiché siamo tutti sognatori, ricordiamoci che i grandi sogni, alimentati da impegno e forza di volontà, possono diventare realtà.

In Sound Synergies, the artist is envisioned as a presence immersed in an unknown substance, almost a “Matrix-like” figure working directly with frequencies and transforming them into a visual language.
Alongside her, a dancer interprets the music through the body, moving in rhythm with sound waves. Through the use of light, optical fibers, and long exposure, movement generates luminous trails that echo and amplify the graphic lines of the artwork. The body thus becomes the medium through which sound manifests in space, making visible what is normally invisible.
Photography captures this dialogue, freezing the encounter between music, gesture, and light into a single image.
In Sinergie sonore l’artista viene immaginata come una presenza immersa in una materia sconosciuta, quasi una figura “matrix” che lavora direttamente sulle frequenze, trasformandole in linguaggio visivo.
Oltre a lei, una ballerina interpreta la musica con il corpo, danzando al ritmo delle onde sonore. Attraverso l’uso di luci, fibre ottiche e lunga esposizione, il movimento genera scie luminose che riprendono e amplificano le linee grafiche dell’opera. Il corpo diventa così il mezzo attraverso cui il suono si manifesta nello spazio, rendendo visibile ciò che normalmente è invisibile.
La fotografia registra questo dialogo, fissando l’incontro tra musica, gesto e luce in un’unica immagine.
